The Houghton Library of Harvard is known for rare and antique books.  Most lighting would causing them to fade and dry out.  Cold cathode, a cousin of neon, emits no UV or heat.  The bulbs last an average of 20 years!  Cold cathode can conform to special requirements.  The tubular bulbs are custom shaped and sized.  This lighting is perfect for where preservation is paramount.
